Not every good idea leads to a better product experience. Reliable user insights help teams prioritize product decisions, identify risks early, and measure whether product initiatives actually work. At idealo, you will help build our research practice with a clear focus on quantitative methods. Together with Product, UX, and Data, you will combine qualitative and quantitative evidence to create a stronger basis for product decisions.

Your Responsibilities

  • You develop research strategies for complex product questions.

  • You select qualitative and quantitative methods based on the research question.

  • You develop measurement frameworks and assess statistical results.

  • You review study designs, sample sizes, bias risks and the validity of findings.

  • You connect product data with qualitative and quantitative research insights.

  • You provide robust evidence for better product decisions that directly benefit users.

Must-have

  • At least 5 years of experience in UX Research with a focus on quantitative methods and a relevant academic background, e.g. psychology, sociology, human factors, media studies or a comparable qualification.

  • You are confident using qualitative and quantitative research methods and select the right method or combination of methods for each research question.

  • You design quantitative studies and surveys methodologically soundly – from sampling and scaling to questionnaire design, bias risks and triangulation – and analyse the data using significance tests, correlations and regressions, critically assessing the robustness of the results.

  • You connect product tracking data with qualitative and quantitative research insights.

  • You are confident communicating in German and English in a professional environment and can also conduct qualitative interviews in German.

  • You take ownership, drive topics independently and provide methodological guidance to Product and UX teams.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with AI-supported research workflows to make analysis and research processes more efficient.

  • Experience with Research Operations, e.g. processes, tools or knowledge management.
