Hybrid Work in the office and from wherever you like.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, we have proven that we are successful in a hybrid work mode with a high share of remote work. Freedom and trust are the motivating factors that determine the culture at idealo. And we believe that we are happier and can work more effectively when the job fits our own lives. That's why we offer our idealos the freedom to choose their workplace within Germany. Of course, you are always welcome to work at our light-flooded office in the heart of Berlin. Only about once a month on average, there will be mandatory office days to bring idealos together at the company, department or team level - including the stunning views from our roof terrace. We are convinced that this is the right balance between the free choice of workspace and togetherness. Beyond that, it's up to you to decide when and how often you come into the office or not.

The idealo “Survival Insurance”

We offset the carbon footprint of our employees. As a large company, we also have an influence on the climate through our employees, the idealos. We believe that employers have a responsibility for the future of their employees. That is why we, or more precisely our co-founder and managing director Albrecht von Sonntag, launched the "survival insurance" programme. With our survival insurance, we offset 50 % of the carbon footprint of the idealos. In 2020, the first year of the "survival insurance", we even offset 100 % of their carbon footprint!
