Head of Brand Sales – Retail Media (GTM Activation) (m|w|d)

In this role, you will be responsible for building and scaling idealo’s Retail Media business on the brand side. As the Head of Brand Sales, you will develop the go-to-market strategy for brand partners, position idealo as a relevant full-funnel Retail Media player, and build scalable activation models for our onsite and offsite solutions. You will work closely with Product, Marketing, Data, and Ad Operations, drive the monetisation of our advertising products, and define how brands can efficiently increase reach, performance, and sales through idealo. 

About your new role

• Build and lead the Brand Sales team for the entire DACH region. 

• Develop and implement the GTM strategy for brand partners. 

• Own the acquisition, development, and scaling of brand budgets across industries (FMCG, Consumer Electronics, Home & Living, Beauty, and more). 

• Develop value propositions for brands across the full marketing funnel. 

• Build strong relationships with brand marketing and performance teams on the client side. 

• Collaborate closely with Product to translate brand needs into requirements for future ad products. 

• Manage forecasting, pipeline, and revenue responsibility for the Brand Sales unit. 

• Provide thought leadership for brands in the Retail Media space through insights, benchmarks, and case studies. 

Skills &Requirements

• Several years of experience in Brand Sales, Retail Media, or Digital Advertising (retailers, RMNs, media agencies, or platforms). 

• Strong expertise in selling onsite and offsite advertising products. 

• Deep understanding of brand and performance KPIs and how to connect them effectively. 

• Experience in building sales teams and processes. 

• Strong customer orientation and excellent negotiation skills. 

• Ability to translate complex data and products into clear customer value. 

• Entrepreneurial mindset and strong drive to build and shape a new business area 

• Fluent English- and German skills.
