About your new role

  • As an Account Manager, you proactively build, manage and develop long-term partnerships with merchants for the French market, advising them proactively with the objective of growing their performance and revenue on idealo. 

  • You take ownership of the inventory and assortment that idealo can offer to end customers in your portfolio. You understand your merchants’ assortment and monitor their performance on a regular basis. 

  • You identify growth opportunities within existing merchant accounts and translate performance insights into clear recommendations and action plans. 

  • You promote and sell relevant Retail Media opportunities to existing shop partners in a consultative and value-oriented way, helping merchants increase visibility and achieve their commercial goals on idealo. 

  • You develop into a specialist for your product landscape and merchant portfolio by observing market trends, competitor activity and category developments. 

  • You work closely with internal teams such as Sales, Partner Management, Retail Media, Product and Analytics to improve partner performance and customer value. 

Job requirements

Skills & Requirements

  • You have at least 3-4 years of experience in Account Management, Partner management, Sales or a comparable commercial role, ideally in e-commerce, online marketplaces, retail media or digital advertising for the French market. 

  • You have strong communication and negotiation skills and are comfortable building trusted relationships with external partners. 

  • You are commercially driven and able to identify upselling and growth opportunities within existing accounts. 

  • You are confident working with numbers, performance data and business KPIs, and you use analytical insights to support your recommendations. 

  • You’re experienced in dealing with a CRM system, such as Salesforce and everyday terms such as conversion rate & CPC are no foreign words for you. 

  • You enjoy working in a team, while also being able to independently drive projects and follow through on agreed actions. 

  • You communicate fluently in French (C2) and in English, German language skills are plus.
