Software Engineer - Martech (f|m|x)

Join our team as a Performance Marketing Software Engineer (Java/AWS) (f|m|x) and boost the efficiency of our paid search processes across six European markets using innovative technologies. 

About your new role

• Develop and implement tailored software solutions to automate paid search campaigns (e.g., Google Ads, Bing Ads). 

• Automate bidding strategies, keyword optimizations, and ad placements. 

• Integrate bidding algorithms for continuous campaign performance optimization. 

• Administer and integrate APIs (e.g., Google Ads API, Bing Ads API) for efficient campaign management and analysis. 

• Develop dashboards and reporting tools for real-time campaign performance monitoring. 

• Collaborate closely with the Paid Search team to define and implement automation processes and performance goals. 

Skills & Requirements 

• A degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Software Development, or a comparable qualification. 

• Deep expertise in software development with Java. 

• Advanced AWS knowledge (e.g., Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, API Gateway) and experience in managing and scaling cloud infrastructures. 

• You already have experience in performance marketing or experience in advertising technology (AdTech), data analysis or automated bidding systems.

• Experience in RESTful APIs and ideally working with paid search platforms (e.g., Google Ads API, Bing Ads API). 

• Knowledge of tracking, data analysis, and reporting. 

• A hands-on mentality, analytical thinking, and the ability to solve complex problems in a structured manner. 

• Experience working in interdisciplinary teams and strong communication skills. 

• Proficiency in German and English is required.
