(Junior) Software Engineer (m|f|x)

We, the Offer Page team, are looking for a Junior Software Engineer who’s excited to grow their skills while helping us shape one of idealo's most important customer touchpoints.

About your new role

• Your main focus will be the development of the Offerpage FE by using Javascript/Typescript, React & Tailwind. Occasionally, you will also work with our Java/Spring-based back end.  

• You work closely with experienced Engineers, Designers, Analysts, and Product Leads to build features that help users compare and choose the best offers. 

• You help improve page performance, SEO, and usability to deliver the best possible customer experience. 

• You contribute to a future-proof, cloud-native environment, participating in deployments and learning how to monitor and maintain production systems. 

• You continuously grow your technical skills by learning from your teammates and taking ownership of small features and improvements. 

Skills & Requirements

Tech Skills 

• You have some hands-on experience with React and Typescript. 

• Experience in Java/Spring is a bonus. 

• You’ve worked with or are eager to learn modern frontend frameworks. 

• You're familiar with REST APIs and have a basic understanding of how frontend and backend systems communicate. 

• You’re excited to learn about cloud technologies like AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. 

• You're interested in performance, accessibility, and SEO topics – or you're curious to develop that interest. 

Mindset and People Skills 

• You're eager to learn, take feedback constructively, and grow as part of a collaborative team. 

• You’re motivated by creating value for users and working on a product that people interact with every day. 

• Strong communication skills in English enable you to collaborate effectively across teams and share your ideas clearly.
