Job description

As the Technical Product Owner (m|f|x) for the Inventory (Analytics) team, you will lead the development and optimization of data products, focusing on ensuring the accuracy and reliability of inventory data through the Inventory Quality Gateway. Our Inventory Quality Gateway is the central quality instance in the processing of inventory data, which ensures that our customers' quality experience meets the highest expectations.

Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will drive the evolution of inventory data solutions, ensuring data consistency, scalability, and usability.


This position is available full-time or part-time.

About your new role

  • Strategic Planning and Roadmap Development
    • Define roadmap priorities, emphasizing data quality enhancement.
    • Develop a strategic vision for the product, aligning with organizational goals.
  • Product Development and Execution
    • Lead the implementation of features to optimize inventory data products.
    • Translate business requirements into technical specifications, while ensuring the solutions are reliable, scalable, and user-friendly.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and align development efforts.
    • Partner with teams to integrate advanced technologies for data governance and quality assurance.
  • Data Governance and Quality Assurance
    • Implement and uphold data governance practices for inventory data consistency and integrity.
    • Monitor data quality and regulatory compliance, taking corrective actions as necessary to maintain high standards.
  • User Interface and Experience
    • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive interfaces, emphasizing user experience and productivity.
    • Prioritize features based on user feedback and identified needs within the inventory data framework.
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization
    • Monitor key performance indicators related to inventory data quality and product effectiveness.
    • Identify optimization opportunities to enhance product capabilities and user value.

Skills & Requirements

  • Proven experience of at least 2 years as a Technical Product Owner (m|f|x) or similar role, preferably in an e-commerce or data analytics environment.
  • Educational background in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of data analytics, data modeling, and data visualization techniques.
  • Basic knowledge or interest in machine learning for anomaly detection would be advantageous.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience working with cloud-based technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) and big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
