As Technical Product Owner (m|f|x) for the Infrastructure & Ingestion team, you will lead the development and optimization of the data infrastructure, in particular ensuring the reliability and customer orientation of future platform products.

The position is advertised as full-time or part-time.

About your new role

Strategic Planning and Roadmap Development

  • Setting the product directions as well as priorities for the roadmap with a focus on improving data quality.

  • Developing a strategic vision for products that are aligned with our business goals.

  • As part of the leadership team, you work hand in hand with the Staff Engineer and the Operations Lead to ensure high-performance delivery.

Product Development and Execution

  • Leading the implementation of functions to improve and extend self-service ingestion tooling, and a governed data platform.

  • Translating business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring that the solutions are reliable, scalable and user-friendly.

Cross-functional collaboration

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and align development work.

  • Collaborate with teams to integrate advanced technologies for data governance and quality assurance.

Data Governance and Quality Assurance

  • Implementing and adhering to data governance practices for the consistency and integrity of data for analytical use cases.

  • Monitoring data quality and compliance with regulations, taking corrective action where necessary to maintain high standards.

Performance Monitoring and Optimization

  • Monitoring of key performance indicators relating to the quality of data, operational efficiency and the effectiveness of the platform.

  • Identification of optimization opportunities to improve platform functions and benefits.

Job requirements

Skills & Requirements

Must have:

  • You have professional experience as a (Technical) Product Owner or in a similar role, preferably in an e-commerce or data analytics environment.

  • Educational background in computer science, engineering or a related field.

  • Experience working with cloud-based technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure).

  • Practical experience with agile methods and project management tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

  • Experience in application of driver trees and models to measure platform performance.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in big data platforms (e.g. Hadoop, Spark).

  • Experience in Data Warehouse (e.g. Redshift, Snowflake, dbt).

  • Interest in data architecture, platform tooling, and data governance practice.
