(Senior) SEO Manager (m|w|d)

SEO has been part of idealo’s DNA since 2000. While content remains essential, the future of SEO is increasingly technical, automated, and system-driven. SEO at idealo is a company-wide discipline spanning Product, Engineering, Data, and the C-Suite.

About your new role

• You are responsible for the conception and implementation of scalable SEO projects that improve idealo’s SEO performance, with a strong focus on selected international domains (e.g. AT and UK, with potential expansion to IE and CH). This, working closely with country management teams and Country Manager(s). 

• You contribute to idealo’s global SEO strategy, roadmap, and international expansions, translating long-term goals into scalable, high-impact initiatives. 

• You research and develop strategies to increase idealo’s visibility in AI-generated search results and Large Language Model–driven platforms, including working with AI-assisted and data-driven content concepts and analyzing prompts and outputs at scale. 

• You are interested in LLM-driven search and have experience tracking LLM performance and outputs at scale, with an understanding of how prompts and data inputs influence results. 

• You actively develop scalable SEO solutions through automation, working on templates and recurring processes in close collaboration with tech and product teams. 

• You act as a SEO sparring partner for internal stakeholders, embedding SEO best practices into product and engineering workflows. 

• You work with large datasets to generate insights and define clear prioritization based on impact and effort. 

Skills & Requirements

• SEO is your craft, and you have 4+ years of professional experience, ideally working on large, complex websites. 

• You have excellent German skills (C2 level) and are fluent in English. 

• You have experience working with SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, Sistrix, Audisto, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, or similar tools and know how to turn raw outputs into scalable insights. 

• You bring strong expertise in SEO, including crawling & indexing, internal linking, site architecture, performance, and ranking systems. 

• You enjoy working with scalable SEO approaches over manual optimizations, including automation, templates, and data-driven processes, and are curious about applying AI and LLM-based solutions to SEO challenges. 

• You are self-driven, structured, and ownership-oriented, with the ability to prioritize complex initiatives independently. 

• You are comfortable collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and Data teams, translating SEO needs into requirements and vice versa. 

• You are highly data-driven, confident working with Excel or Google Sheets at scale; SQL, Python, or other automation skills are a strong plus.
