Job description

idealo maintains direct business relationships with virtually the entire e-commerce market – from international platforms such as Amazon and eBay to specialized retailers. For our retail partners, we are one of the central sources of traffic, customer contacts, and online sales. At the same time, they offer our end customers an immense database of billions of current prices, which make up our price comparison. We are looking for a committed individual to further strengthen our B2B product range.  

 

About your new role

  • You will build long-term, trusting relationships with our most important retail partners and establish yourself as their central point of contact. 

  • In your role as the interface between idealo and our top accounts, you will work closely with various stakeholders and develop individual strategies, product solutions, and projects. 

  • You will analyze the needs, structures, and goals of your partner companies and use this information to develop targeted measures for cooperation. 

  • You will be responsible for the sales and margins of your accounts. You will conduct regular contract negotiations and define the framework conditions for cooperation. 

  • You will actively help shape the product range on idealo and identify potential for product range expansion at an early stage. 

  • Based on defined KPIs, you will continuously analyze the performance of your accounts and develop concrete optimization recommendations. 

  • You will implement strategically relevant projects together with your retail partners and provide operational support. 

 

Skills & Requirements

  • You have several years of experience in (key) account management or solution-oriented sales, ideally in e-commerce or a digital business model. 

  • You have in-depth knowledge of online retail and a good understanding of key figures such as CPC, CVR, and KUR, as well as economic relationships in the digital market. 

  • Analytical thinking comes naturally to you. You are experienced in working with data and reports and derive valuable insights and creative ideas from them. 

  • You communicate convincingly and are confident in negotiations – in both German and English – and act confidently at all decision-making levels. 

  • Teamwork comes naturally to you. You actively support colleagues in order to achieve common goals. 

  • You manage projects independently, work in a structured manner, and pursue a solution- and results-oriented approach. 

  • Ideally, you have experience working with CRM systems, especially Salesforce.
