As the Product Lead for Growth Initiatives at idealo, you will spearhead cross-functional and cross-company efforts to unlock new business opportunities. Your mission is to explore, validate, and scale innovative product strategies that expand idealo’s value proposition—whether by launching new business models, entering strategic partnerships, or enabling synergies across existing domains. 

You’ll lead with a growth mindset, entrepreneurial spirit, and user-first approach—ensuring that every initiative you drive delivers measurable impact for both idealo and our customers. 

About your new role

  • Own the vision, KPIs, and roadmap for growth-focused product initiatives, especially those involving new business models or cross-company collaboration.

  • Scout and cultivate strategic partnerships to accelerate growth and value creation.

  • Guide the development of platform capabilities and cross-organizational product efforts.

  • Build and validate business cases and go-to-market strategies from scratch.

  • Lead discovery and delivery efforts across internal teams and external stakeholders.

  • Translate complex business opportunities into structured product concepts backed by user and market insights.

  • Represent growth initiatives to senior leadership through compelling, data-informed storytelling.

  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Commercial, and Tech to scale solutions and ensure consistent execution.

Skills & Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building digital products or platforms, ideally in e-commerce, marketplaces, or B2B2C environments.

  • Proven ability to operate like a founder: creating value from ambiguity, building from zero to one, and pitching bold ideas with rigor.

  • Experience in cross-company product development, involving external stakeholders or multi-team internal collaboration.

  • Strength in business case development—from opportunity sizing and cost modeling to go-to-market planning and ROI forecasting.

  • Confidence in presenting to top management, synthesizing complexity into crisp, compelling narratives and strategic recommendations.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills; able to build alignment across diverse technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Fluency in German and English, essential for navigating internal collaboration and strategic partner engagement.
