Group Product Lead (m|w|d) B2C Products

As Group Product Lead for B2C Products at idealo, you lead the Product Leads and Product Managers responsible for idealo's core customer-facing experience across web and apps. You combine hands-on product work with coaching your team, ensuring your group consistently delivers for millions of users.

About your new role

You guide your Product Leads and Product Managers across the customer journey, from product discovery and selection to offer decisions, placements, retention features such as price alerts and wishlists, visual product presentation, and deals and voucher experiences.

As a player-coach, you stay hands-on in selected parts of the portfolio while owning the roadmap and delivery across the group. You resolve competing priorities, align work across product areas, and ensure your teams deliver a coherent customer experience.

You'll lead 3-5 experienced Product Leads and Product Managers, each owning a dedicated part of idealo's B2C value chain end-to-end. You'll work closely with the Engineering teams behind your products, partnering with Principal Engineers to align technical and product priorities. You report to the VP Product and collaborate closely with the Group Product Leads for B2B and Catalogue/Foundation to keep priorities aligned across idealo's broader product organization.

This is a highly visible role at the center of idealo's shopping experience across our international markets.

Your responsibilities

• Lead and coach Product Leads and Product Managers across idealo's customer-facing products, including product discovery, product and offer selection, offer decision-making, placements, retention features, visual product presentation, deals pages and voucher experiences. 

• Own the roadmap and delivery across your group, ensuring the individual roadmaps of your Product Leads form one coherent and well-prioritized portfolio. 

• Stay hands-on in selected parts of the portfolio while supporting your team as a player-coach. 

• Resolve conflicts between Product Leads competing for shared engineering capacity, stakeholder attention or product priorities. 

• Partner closely with Engineering teams and Principal Engineers to align technical direction and product priorities. 

• Represent your group's priorities and delivery to the VP Product, align closely with the Group Product Leads for B2B and Catalogue/Foundation, and translate company objectives into clear priorities for your teams. 

Skills & Requirements

Must-have

• Extensive experience in product management, including leading, coaching or developing Product Managers or Product Leads. 

• Proven track record of driving delivery across multiple product areas or teams, ideally in consumer-facing e-commerce or marketplace products. 

• Strong skills in resolving cross-product conflicts, balancing prioritization trade-offs and aligning stakeholders across an organization. 

• Comfortable partnering closely with Engineering leadership while remaining part of the Product organization. 

• You maintain a hands-on, action-oriented mindset, driving initiatives forward even in ambiguous circumstances. 

Nice-to-have

• Experience working across multiple customer-facing product domains within a larger product organization. 

• Excellent collaboration skills, particularly with fellow Product leaders and cross-functional stakeholders. 

• Fluent in German and English. 

• The confidence to speak up and challenge ideas constructively, paired with openness to diverse perspectives.
