Java Software Engineer (m|f|x) - White Labels

Our White Labels team focuses on websites that reuse already published data on idealo and presents it in our own, different way. We are operating in 6 European countries, with being one of the top 3 price comparison websites in France. Next to coding, our product offers the possibility to focus on additional things like end-customer experience and google/bing integrations.

About your new role

• You actively develop, deploy, operate and improve scalable and highly available systems as well as web applications, which you run in AWS.
• You plan, develop and deliver features in a clean and structured manner.
• You are curious to explore and learn about our existing applications and new approaches.
• You maintain an open and respectful relationship with your colleagues at eye level and you bring a high level of commitment to continuous improvement.

Skills & Requirements

• You have good knowledge in developing cloud applications using Java and the Spring Boot framework.
• You know how to create and use APIs for instance using REST.
• You have basic knowledge about modern web technologies like TypeScript.
• Preferably you hold knowledge and experience in using cloud platforms like AWS.
• You have gained experience as a professional software developer in a team environment.

Work in the office and from wherever you like.

idealo allows you to work from wherever you are. As part of our Hybrid Work at idealo, you decide whether and how often you work from our office in Berlin or remotely because you live in another city within Germany or the café down the street makes the best coffee cream. Only about once a month, there will be mandatory office days to bring idealos together at company, department or team level, including stunning views from our roof terrace.
