As a dedicated Deputy Vice President, you will support the (Senior) Vice President in driving strategic initiatives in his area of expertise and oversee key projects. In this responsible position, you will have extensive room for manoeuvre and budget flexibility as well as the necessary skills to ensure alignment with the company's long-term goals.
About your new role
- Planning and Enabling: You collaborate with the International Management to create and implement a long-term, sustainable strategy to expand idealo’s market share in the international markets (FR, IT, ES, UK, AT) and white labels.
- Strategic Decision-Making: You make strategic and tactical decisions regarding priority and cooperations and establish frameworks and guidelines.
- Driving Growth: You oversee and enhance growth strategies across various international markets and support country managers and marketing leaders to ensure execution and adaptation to local market conditions.
- Project Leadership: You lead global projects and business initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and exploring new business opportunities.
- Stakeholder Engagement: You build robust relationships with key external and internal stakeholders, representing idealo at industry events to enhance brand visibility and foster strategic partnerships.
Skills & Requirements
- Strategic planning and execution: You bring in at least 5 years of proven experience in strategic planning and execution in a global business environment in the digital or e-commerce sectors and have held roles such as Country Manager, Marketing Director or CEO of a startup.
- Leadership and decision-making skills: With more than 3 years of experience in leading teams, you possess strong leadership skills and the ability to take decisive actions and effectively resolve conflicts.
- Financial and performance oversight: You’re experienced in managing financial forecasts and performance metrics, with an eye for deviations and optimizing results.
- Project management and business development: You have the proven ability to manage significant projects and identify profitable business opportunities for growth and scale.
- Relationship management: You possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in fostering collaboration between teams from different cultures and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Language skills: Fluency in English as well as fluency in either Spanish, Italian or French round off your profile. German skills are advantageous.
