About your new role

• As part of the Marketing Automation team, you will work to liberate data from the individual silos of our marketing systems and transfer it to the idealo Data Lake to turn it into actionable insights and data-driven automation products.
• You create data pipelines to integrate data from different marketing sources.
• You are responsible for designing and implementing data models that fit our business needs.
• You maintain and create processes and ensure transparency in our ecosystem.
• Support automation efforts to minimize manual work for our marketing channel teams is second nature to you.
• You'll be a trusted advisor on cloud marketing initiatives by providing objective, practical and relevant ideas and insights.
• You are an idea generator and actively contribute to improving the architecture, tools and development processes within the marketing data infrastructure.

Skills & Requirements

• You have a scientific background, ideally in computer science, mathematics or statistics.
• You have knowledge of PySpark and advanced Python.
• You have a solid understanding of best practices in data engineering, such as testing and clean code.
• Good SQL skills and experience with version control systems (e.g. Git) complete your profile.
• You can demonstrate required ETL experience. Experience working with AWS/ Terraform is a big plus.
• Ideally you will have experience with workflow management tools such as Airflow.
