As a country manager you have the opportunity to actively promote the operational and strategic development of and are responsible for the success of the portal.

About your new role

  • You will be responsible for growth, revenue, profit und budgets of all idealo operations in the UK
  • You will lead, motivate and coordinate team-members of all departments dedicated to the UK project
  • Within our company´s matrix organizational structure, you will elaborate growth-, distribution-, and marketing strategies to define business goals, in accordance with head management of assigned departments
  • Furthermore, you are in charge of annual business-, and budget scheduling, in reconciliation with head management of dedicated departments
  • You are always on the lookout for suitable, future business partners, building strategically wise collaborations
  • You´re constantly aware of your project´s KPIs. You know the market and competition inside out, and will never leave your team´s best interest out of sight
  • You take sustained responsibility for controlling all actions related to the UK operation and report to heads of assigned departments

Job requirements

Skills & Requirements

  • You have at least five years of experience, preferable gained at a renowned-, eCommerce company, consulting agency, or start-up business, as well as two years of experience as an executive leader to a team and respectable operation
  • You have a degree in Economics, graduated with honors, or something equally, if not more impressive to show for
  • You strike as an independent, well-structured, assertive, and respected colleague that leads with good example, which convinces and inspires throughout the hierarchy
  • Data, numbers, facts are the foundation of your decisions
  • You have the mind of an analyst, and your ideas arise out of your economical experience and understanding as a professional
  • Your dynamic, thriving personality, as well as constant urge to succeed round of your profile
  • Your fluency in English is a must. Ideally you speak German. All other languages are a plus
